Stay up to date on the Lansdowne market
Just four miles from the remarkable city of Leesburg, Virginia, there is a charming little census-designated place known as Lansdowne. Home to roughly 12,000 residents, Lansdowne is part of the D.C. metro area and sits roughly twenty-five miles west of Washington, D.C. A portion of the Potomac Heritage Trail cuts through the community, and the Potomac River is to the north, with State Route 7 to the south. Lansdowne is home to multiple points of interest including The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Inova Loudoun Hospital, and Lansdowne Resort, among others. Residents can also easily enjoy the many amenities of Leesburg, including the Leesburg Premium Outlet Center and the two-level, 150-store Dulles Towne Center mall. Both of those destinations affording excellent options for shopping and dining.
Adding to the allure, Lansdowne has its own shopping center, located at the intersection of Belmont Ridge Road and Route 7, Lansdowne Town Center encompasses more than thirty-five specialty stores, services, and restaurants. Speaking of restaurants, a few of the locals’ favorites include Great China, French Hound Brasserie, Punjabi by Nature, Deli Italiano, Bua Thai, Viet Chopsticks, and Ford’s Fish Shack & Oyster Bar. Not only does the community have remarkable dining options, but it is also a family-friendly place. Children residing here are served by Loudoun County Public Schools. Students living in the eastern part of the community attend at Steuart W. Weller Elementary in nearby Ashburn, while students in the western part attend at Seldens Landing Elementary in Lansdowne. Older students attend Belmont Ridge Middle and Riverside High schools, both in Lansdowne.
With so many great features, this community is obviously worth the consideration of prospective homebuyers. Lansdowne real estate includes a number of housing options, and there are three primary homeowners’ associations here. Representing over 2,200 homes in the Potomac Station and Lansdowne area, the Lansdowne On the Potomac HOA is the largest of the three. Consisting of five condominiums with more than 1,100 homes, Lansdowne Woods of Virginia is the second HOA. This includes high-rise, luxury, gated, and age-restricted communities in Lansdowne. The last is Lansdowne Village Green which encircles Lansdowne Town Center. There are five hundred homes here between Belmont Ridge Road on the west, Riverside Parkway on the north, the Lansdowne Country Club Golf Course on the east, and Route 7 to the south.
