Stay up to date on the Bristow market
Just thirty miles from Washington, D.C., in Prince William County of Northern Virginia, you will find a charming, little, unincorporated community known as Bristow. Formally, the community is part of the Linton Hall CDP, and Linton has a long, rich history dating back to the 18th century. The Geographic Names Information System says Bristow was known by a number of other things prior to officially becoming Bristow in 1906. As you would expect from an area with such a long history, there are multiple historical sites here. The Davis-Beard House and the Brentsville Historic District are in Bristow and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The town center is near the Braemar Parkway area, on Bristow Road, SR 619, though formerly it had been at the Norfolk Southern Railway crossing, around one mile southwest of the intersection of Nokesville Road and SR 28.
Today Bristow is home to roughly 30,000 residents and the Jiffy Lube Live outdoor concert stage, which had been called the Nissan Pavilion in years passed. This is an excellent place to live and according to Nerd Wallet is “Best Place for Homeownership in Virginia.” Since 2000 there has been a great deal of development in both commercial business and residential areas. The community encompasses the Bristow Manor Golf Club which has been voted one of the “Top 100 Places to Play from 1998-2000.” The course is picturesque and includes a putting green and driving range. Adding to the allure of this area is its proximity to major thoroughfares including Virginia Route 215, Virginia Route 234, and Virginia Route 28. The community is also served by the Broad Run/Airport Virginia Railway Express station which provides weekday service to Washington, D.C., and suburbs in Fairfax County. With so many excellent features, Bristow is a must-consider destination for prospective homebuyers.
Bristow real estate is diverse in architectural style, age, and size. That said, most homes are found in affluent managed communities such as Amberleigh Station, Bridlewood, Bridlewood Manor, Braemar Community, Brookside, Crossman Creek, Saybrooke, Lanier Farms, Foxborough, New Bristow Village, Kingsbrooke, Victory Lakes, and Sheffield Manor. Bristow properties typically have all the desired amenities and exciting extras.
